By using Mueen services or creating an account, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms that apply to you.

1. Scope and operator

Girsu operates the Mueen platform and is referred to in this document as “Mueen”, “we” or “us”. The services include mueen.work, the Mueen app and supporting services used to coordinate worker hiring requests.

This document applies when you browse worker profiles, create an account, submit a hiring request or contact the Mueen team. Some services may include additional terms shown before you confirm them. Those additional terms form part of our agreement with you.

2. Privacy policy

Information we collect

  • Account and contact information, including your name, phone number, email address, governorate and sign-in information.
  • Request information, including hiring needs, preferences and an address or location when required to provide the service.
  • Messages sent to support, feedback, complaints and follow-up records.
  • Technical and security records, including IP address, device or browser type, crash reports and sign-in attempts.
  • Fee and transaction records, where applicable, and payment verification details without storing full payment credentials when an independent processor handles them.

How we use information

  • To create, verify and protect accounts and provide platform features.
  • To review, coordinate and follow up on hiring requests and communicate with you about them.
  • To answer questions, resolve issues and send service-related notices.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, protect users and the platform, and meet legal obligations.
  • To measure and improve service performance, using aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We may share the minimum necessary information with hosting, communications, payment and support providers that act on our instructions and must protect it, or with authorities where the law requires it.

Mueen remains your point of contact with recruitment agencies. We do not give those agencies your information for their independent marketing. If a particular legal or contractual step requires personal information to be transferred, we explain the purpose and request consent where the law or the nature of the step requires it.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use local storage or essential cookies to remember language, secure a session and operate forms. Optional performance measurement may be used after required consent controls are applied. Browser settings let you manage these technologies, although disabling essential storage may affect functionality.

Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational controls to reduce unauthorised access, loss or alteration. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we review and update controls according to risk.

We keep information for the life of an account or request and afterwards for as long as needed for legal and accounting obligations, dispute resolution and fraud prevention. We then delete or de-identify it when there is no longer a legitimate need.

Your rights and choices

You may request access, correction or deletion, object to certain uses or withdraw consent, subject to applicable law. You may also delete your account within the app when that feature is available. We may verify identity before acting and may retain records when the law requires it.

3. Terms of use

Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement. You are responsible for accurate account details, protecting verification codes or passwords and notifying us promptly of unauthorised use.

Nature of the Mueen service

Mueen is an intermediary platform that presents reviewed worker profiles and coordinates hiring requests with relevant licensed parties. Using the platform does not make Mueen the worker’s employer, and displayed information is not a binding final offer unless we expressly confirm it in the request flow.

Verification reduces risk but is not an absolute guarantee of every fact or a party’s future conduct. Completion depends on availability, regulatory approvals and required documents and procedures.

Requests, fees and cancellation

Browsing and submitting a request are free unless we state otherwise. Any fee and payment terms are shown before a binding action. Timing and cost may vary according to the request, official procedures and the party performing them.

Cancellation and refunds are governed by the terms shown in the relevant request or contract. If terms conflict, the specific terms accepted for that request apply to the extent permitted by law.

Acceptable use

  • Do not provide false information, impersonate another person or use an account you are not authorised to use.
  • Do not bypass Mueen to contact a hidden party directly or avoid the agreed coordination process.
  • Do not copy or publish worker profiles or images, or use them outside a legitimate hiring purpose.
  • Do not attack, disrupt, scrape or extract platform data, or use the service for unlawful activity.
  • Treat the Mueen team, workers and all parties respectfully, without abuse, discrimination or exploitation.

Intellectual property

The platform, Mueen mark, design, text, databases and content belong to Mueen or its licensors. We grant a personal, limited and non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account for a breach, security risk, suspected fraud or legal requirement. We try to notify you and explain the reason when possible and when doing so does not prejudice an investigation or legal duty.

Disclaimers and limits

We provide the service with reasonable professional care. It may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or causes outside our control. To the extent Iraqi law permits, we are not responsible for indirect loss or a decision based on information Mueen has not expressly confirmed.

Nothing in this document excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or removes a right granted to you by applicable law.

4. Changes and notices

We may update this document for service or legal changes. We publish the new version here, update the date and provide additional notice when a change is material. Continued use after an update takes effect means acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

5. Governing law and disputes

This document is governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. We prefer to address complaints directly and in good faith, so please contact us first. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the competent Iraqi courts have jurisdiction unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. Contact us

For a request about your information, a question about these terms or a service complaint, contact the Mueen team. We review requests and respond within a reasonable time based on their nature and verification requirements.
